Game Review: Trine Enchanted Edition

Recently, Steph and I have been looking for multiplayer coop games that would allow us to finish campaign modes from start to finish together. Unfortunately, we can’t find a lot of games that would allow that.

We chanced upon the Trine series on Steam and decided to try it out. It was loads of fun!

Little Monster: Shall I Name Him Ghost?

Before I learned how to crochet for the sake of amigurumi, I’ve thought of starting my little monsters line. I think little monsters can be cute and adorable, although not everyone likes them. This week, I decided to start on this collection. 🙂

One of my life goals at present is to manage my sleeping hours because my circadian rhythm is fucked up. I say this because I usually sleep for 6 to 7 hours on a weekday and 12-14 hours on a weekend. My sleeping patterns are quite erratic and most of the time, someone has to wake me up to make sure I don’t doze off into eternity.

Quest to Cuteness: Needle Felting!

I’ve been in touch with my creative side lately, and here I am feeding my need to conjure. My newest discovery is needle felting. x354-q80 Needle felting is akin to sculpting, only with the use of fiber than stone or ceramic. I don’t think this craft is famous here in Manila, given that there’s hardly any supplies available. On the plus side, needle felting is really easy.

Home Swiss Home!

We decided to spend lent a few days early at St. Moritz Swiss Inn in Antipolo. This is another staycation attempt and this time, we decided to go outside Metro Manila. I saw Vieux Chalet a couple of months ago on When In Manila‘s Facebook post and I immediately fell in love with the place. At that point on, I was decided that I wanted to go there. ‘Home Swiss Home’ is their tagline.

The World of (war) Crafts: Learning how to make Amigurumi

I’ve picked up a new hobby. Source: http://i.ytimg.com/vi/p65Q6eFpNZE/maxresdefault.jpg Last Monday, I decided to learn how to crochet because I want to make Amigurumi. I found myself wanting all the cute crafts I see online and figured that instead of buying them, I might as well learn how to make them. Not only would this save me money, but I’d be able to make the stuff that I want. I didn’t know how to crochet. I hardly know how to sew so I had to start from scratch. “In every outthrust headland, in every curving beach, in every grain of sand there is the story of the earth.” – Rachel Carson

We’ve been planning for a beach vacation for several months now. After much debate, we opted to go the Acuaverde Resort, situated in Laiya, Batangas.

Well it wasn’t really a debate, it was more of a mutual evaluation of the 6 short listed resorts in Batangas that we were considering. Here’s a snapshot our observations based on what we saw in blogs, Trip Advisor reviews and the resort’s actual website.
